Job: Chivalric KnightRoles: Tank and DPS
Haurchefant fights with you in the Heavensward main story dungeon, "The Vault". Haurchefant's role can either be a Tank or a DPS. Both roles share his unique job title "Chivalric Knight", which plays very similarly to the Gladiator class in the game.

Solo Duty
There are three solo duties where Haurchefant aides you in battle.
The first time is during the A Realm Reborn main story quest, "In the Eyes of Gods and Men", when you go and rescue Francel from Witchdrop. As you are engaging in battle with Inquisitor Guillaime's guards, Haurchefant, on a Chocobo, arrives to the scene. He demands the guards to lay down their arms and joins the battle with you.
The second time is during the Heavensward main story quest, "A Series of Unfortunate Events". Another rescue mission, this time for Haurchefant's younger half brother Emmanellain, who was captured by the Vanu Vanu tribe Gundu. As you fight your way to locate and free Emmanellain from his captivity, the Gundu closes in and surrounds you. Haurchefant arrives in time to help and urge you to take Emmanellain somewhere safer. As you do, Haurchefant and several other knights hold off the Gundu from advancing.
The third time is during another Heavensward main story quest, "Fire and Blood". You, Alphinaud, and Tataru run around in the Brume to try and locate Hilda in joining your cause to rescue Aymeric in the Vault, should it come to that. When you do find her and her comrades, you give them a run down of the truth about how all Ishgardian highborn and lowborn are all descendants of the founders of Ishgard and that Aymeric has gone to the archbishop with the truth. In the event that Aymeric is accused of heresy and imprisoned for such statements, they need all the help they can to rescue him.
Suddenly, your meeting is disrupted by one of Archbishop Thordan VII's Heavens' Ward knight, Ser Charibert. He means to stop you all right there and then. As you run outside to fight, you see that he has been joined by several Temple Knights, later revealed by Lucia that the Heavens' Ward now commands the Temple Knights at Aymeric's imprisonment for heresy.
As you fight in the streets outside, Haurchefant runs up the stairs and shouts, "Stop this, all of you! It is madness! Why are you fighting?!". Yet, he rushed in and attack Ser Charibert right away to defend his friends when Alphinaud calls him over!
Knight's Memory
In the Endwalker main story dungeon "The Aitiascope", you come across a warm orange flame. As the flame shapes into a familiar sword and shield, the words, "In a rush of familiar delight, the memory of a kind-hearted knight takes form" appears. Haurchefant!The knight's memory casts "Together Forever". This grants you two 30 second status effects, Vulnerability Down and Damage Up.
I contemplated adding this specific part in this section, as it isn't quite Haurchefant himself that we see. However, I think it is informative to know about.
