Heavensturn 2014

"Heavensturn" is a seasonal game event focusing on New Year's Day and the Chinese zodiac animal for the new year. It was the year of the Horse back in 2014.

Visitor Uma Bugyo from the Far East talks about how horses are not commonly known in Eorzea compare to chocobos and that she needs your help. So you help Uma Bugyo and her friends spread the word by wearing a horse kabuto (helmet). You visit several places in Gridania, Limsa Lominsa, and U'ldah, impressing bystanders as you don on the horse kabuto.

After helping Uma Bugyo and her friends, you run into Chief Chocowacker who insists that since you have helped Uma Bugyo, now it is your turn to help the Chocowackers. A pretty silly rivalry, I admit. Uma Bugyo and Chief Chocowacker get into an argument throwing juvenile insults at one another when Haurchefant walks in with a chocobo while wearing a horse kabuto.

Haurchefant quickly quells their argument that both the horse and the chocobo both have their own strengths and unique features. Then shifts the conversation that there is an even finer creature than the horse or the chocobo. You!

"I say, be my personal steed! There will be non greater, furred or feathered. The finest carrots you will have. Your feel I will scrape, and..."

He stops himself remembering that Uma Bugyo and Chief Chocowacker are still present! Chief Chocowacker begs Haurchefant to please stop talking. Uma Bugyo quickly agrees with Chief Chocowacker. Haurchefant does stop talking about your magnificence, but before leaving he invites you to visit him back in Camp Dragonhead to sit by the fire and share stories.

Uma Bugyo and Chief Chocowacker apologize and make up for their rash words to one another. I did not have the opportunity to play this event personally since I did not start playing Final Fantasy XIV until 2020! This is such a silly event. But, hey Haurchefant about that suggestion!!!
