November 11th
Originally started in Japanese fan spaces, November 11th is a day celebrating Haurchefant! The significance of November 11th being the date to celebrate him is because of Haurchefant's notable catchphrase speech in Japanese, "イイ" or "ii", pronounce as "ee". The "ii" looks like the number "11", thus November 11th was the set date to celebrate him!Every year, more people discover November 11th as a date to celebrate Haurchefant and I am happy to see that the fan tradition continues to grow. Of course you are free to celebrate Haurchefant any or every day of the year, it is just nice how November 11th is tied to his speech. None of the Final Fantasy XIV characters have canonical birthdates listed, so this is a fun event to celebrate Haurchefant yearly.
Another popular event on November 11th is Pocky Day! Pocky is a Japanese sweet snack consisting of coated biscuit sticks in different flavors. A Pocky stick resembles the number "1". So, sometimes you will see crossover fanarts of Haurchefant with Pocky stick treats!
